People with smaller gardens love these fire pits because they’re unobtrusive, neat and fiercely efficient. People with larger gardens feel the same because you can place a fire pit in a special nook or favourite spot to keep warm. Keen gardeners love a fire pit because it burns away in the background while they’re gardening through winter, the perfect place to get the feeling back into your fingers and un-kink the kinks in between tasks. Here are 3 new fire pit designs from La Hacienda to inspire you.
The Milan firepit from La Hacienda
Contemporary styling with a very cool 1950s mid-century edge, this glorious Milan fire pit reminds us of West German waisted ceramic art vases from the ’50s. It is an amazing look for the garden, full of personality. It also happens to be built like a tank from tough materials made to last.
This model, like the other two, burns wood very efficiently for lots of lovely heat. As well as the fire itself, the metal bowl heats up to act as a radiator, giving you a surprising amount of 360 degree warmth to gather around. Grab yourself a steel tripod with an integral hanging grill from the same brand, La Hacienda, and you can turn this beautiful fire pit into a brilliant BBQ within minutes. That’s what we call versatile.
The Brava fire pit from La Hacienda
So what does this design bring to mind? Some of our team members feel the Brava fire pit has a Spanish edge, others think it looks more medieval. Either way this is a handsome beast with its chunky, sturdy shape, flared decorative legs, carry rings and decorative studded band. The colour is great too, a bronze-effect metallic finish that adds to the visual interest.
A strong metal mesh lid keeps the fuel where it should be, stopping sparks and ash from flying. It’s also a simple safety feature, keeping little fingers and curious pets out of the open fire inside. Burning very efficiently thanks to the clever design, the pit throws out 360 degree heat to keep everyone cosy, making it an excellent focal point for garden fun. Again, a separate tripod and grill turns it into an instant BBQ, a lot of fun as well as seriously tasty!
The Moresque fire pit from La Hacienda
Another fabulous design, the Moresque fire pit brings to mind exotic Moorish decor, like the tiles on the outside of beautiful eastern buildings along the ancient Silk Road. A fine mesh lining the inside the body itself means the holes are decorative but still practical, they won’t shed messy ash into the surroundings. Get a good fire going and she’ll keep you roasty-toasty for hours as the afternoon wears into evening, darkness falls, and the party continues. Simple to refuel, a pleasure to tend, as nice-looking as a garden sculpture.
As you can see above, this model comes with its own large chrome plated cooking grill so there’s no need for a tripod – although you can add one if you like for extra cooking flexibility. We stock a wide range of excellent BBQ accessories too, from pizza stones to poultry cookers, sear grates to frying pans and cast iron cookpots. This fire pit comes with a mesh metal lid and the rings, while decorative, also mean it’s easy to carry.
All three models are made from top class materials, built to last for years of outdoor fun. Some people leave theirs out all year round uncovered, others cover theirs or bring it into the dry over winter. Being steel the surface will eventually rust but it’ll remain strong and sturdy all the same, for a very long time. If you don’t like rust developing, you can easily get rid of it and keep the new look.
