Buying heavy? Here’s how delivery works

Some of the gorgeous garden leisure products we sell are enormous, like the Palazzetti below. You need to know how delivery works. Most of the things we sell are light enough for everyday free delivery. Others weigh a lot, making special free delivery the name of the game. Here’s what you can expect.

How delivery works for heavy stuff – We’ll actually talk to you

Our range of Spanish-style outdoor barbecues is made from cast stone, created to look and feel like the real thing and just as heavy. Some weigh as much as 950kg. It’s a quality thing. But don’t worry about delivery fees. These magnificent beasts might be heavy but in our world, delivery is still free.

Because they come on their own pallet, delivered by lorry rather than an ordinary van, we’ll need to arrange delivery with you first, rather than just get you to tick a box when you order and turn up willy-nilly.

We’ll ask for a daytime phone number when you buy. Then the delivery people will contact you to talk through the timing, the access at your place, anything you’ll need to do to prepare for delivery, and any other details. Once that’s all tied up nicely you’ll get a firm delivery date you can rely on.

These amazing stone effect BBQs come in pieces so you can carry yours, bit by bit, to its final resting place. The parts can be pretty heavy in themselves, so you might want to get someone to help carry and assemble it. Once it’s yours the self-assembly is easy and fast.
