Rope weave comes with so many benefits. It’s springy enough to provide a seriously comfortable lounging experience, supporting your body in an airy sort of way. It is as tough as old boots… but a whole lot better looking! It is great for smaller outdoor spaces because you can see through the weave to the surrounding garden, giving the illusion of more space and light than you’d get from a solid weave set. The whole thing looks really cool, with its vintage-inspired circular basket chair and slim metal legs.

This chair style was a huge hit back in the 1960s and ’70s when furniture design blossomed in exciting new ways using innovative materials. It looks just as fabulous in the 21st century. The colour of the RIO set, a pastel-pale turquoise, reminds us of beach holidays under bright skies, long hot lazy days and cocktails under the palm trees, an extra-relaxing ambience to create at home. Add extra impact with toning blue scatter cushions or go for a contrasting shade like bright orange, magenta pink, emerald green or rich purple to make your setting sizzle. Or go cooler and calmer with accessories in delicate, pale pinks, greens and creams.

As far as the practical stuff goes, the table top is made from British safety glass top. The whole set is weather-resistant and UV protected. There’s a fitted cover available to keep it in the best condition for even longer, code ‘Aerocover set 18-C-7914’. The rope is a synthetic PE weave poly-string and the frames are rugged black powder-coated steel. The space you’ll meet to fit the set needs to be at least W391 x D180 x H84.5cm. The sofa itself measures W135 x D79 x H82cm, the chair W72 x D78 x H84.5cm, and the table W90 x D50 x H42cm.
