No matter how rufty-tufty your BBQ is, whatever it’s made from and however much it cost, covering it up in cold wet weather makes a difference to its lifespan. Our BBQ covers do an epic job. Here’s a deep-dive into barbecue covers and why they’re such a wise move.
BBQ covers that actually fit
You could use a tarpaulin but that’s madness for a few reasons.
One, the wind. Bricks or chunks of rock will probably weight the tarp down but it’s shocking how powerful a strong wind can be. A good blow and the tarp ends up in your neighbour’s garden, down the street or lost altogether, and in the meantime your barbie’s getting soggy.
Two, the look. No tarp is as smart-looking as a BBQ cover, nor will it fit like the real deal. Three, the material’s all wrong. You’ll just end up with condensation. Four, it probably isn’t UV-proof. And five, let’s face it, a tarp will look crap 😉
Our barbecue covers are fitted to suit a model or range of BBQs, and most of the barbies we sell have a fitted cover available. Even if not, there might be a cover that’ll fit pretty damn well. Check the measurements and see.
Because they’re quite rigid, you get an excellent fit which keeps out the rain and stops the wind blowing it away. Most have Velcro or clip straps to keep the cover firmly in place. They’re water resistant and heavy duty, smart-looking and subtle. Black never clashes, it stands back to let your greenery and garden features take centre stage. Ventilation holes mean you don’t get condensation inside.
Some of our covers for barbecues are clear and see-through, some beige and others grey, and we even have a fitted cover for one of our best-selling pizza ovens. They’re all easy to use, super-simple to put on and take off.
If you’re going to spend good money on garden entertaining you’ll want to protect your investments. We have a huge range of garden furniture covers as well, just as smart and neat as covers for BBQs. Oh, and don’t forget to buy a cover to fit your beautiful patio heater and one for your garden parasol – we sell those too!
