The Espira Horse Cottage Copper Weathervane makes a lovely addition to any rooftop, with its copper horse galloping along the arrow pointer. It’s a modern version of an ancient tradition going back thousands of years, a reliable way to se exactly what the wind’s up to at your place. You’ll always know where to set up your garden shelter and shade for maximum comfort! Perfect for smaller buildings like bungalows, garages and sheds, the decorative feature and spacer balls are made from hand-brazed polished copper. The cardinal points, NSEW, are polished brass and the rotation rod is powder-coated black steel. The copper will get less shiny and over the years, ending up with a desirable green-blue verdigris finish. If you’d prefer it shiny, delay the process with spray varnish. The polished brass will also give you a gorgeous patina as the high shine fades, and a coat of Hammerite will extend the life of the steel rotation rod. It comes with the perfect Eave Bracket, which projects 125mm (5”) with a 7.5cm square mounting plate.
