The Callow 4 Burner Gas Griddle and Plancha with Stand and Side Tables is a Gas BBQ Plancha with a difference. A plancha, by the way, is simply a traditional Spanish flat-top griddle. It has four 2.5kW stainless steel burners, all with piezo ignition, and the huge enamelled steel cooking plate gives you a cooking area of 83 x 36cm. The removable grease tray keeps thing tidy and makes for supremely healthy cooking. Every burner is independently controlled for versatile cuisine, giving you different heat zones for cooking a variety of dishes at the same time. The whole thing is remarkably simple to use as well as flexible.
You can remove the black powder coated trolley if you like, although it gives you a wonderfully sturdy platform with plenty of storage, including a big shelf and two side tables at a comfy height for food prep and cooking. Two wheels on one side mean it’s easy to move around. Use either propane or butane gas in a cylinder. We reckon propane is the best choice since it burns hotter, which tends to be better for cooking. All you need is a standard gas hose of 8mm diameter plus the right gas regulator, either 28mBar for butane or 37mBar for propane.
