Add a classic touch of fun to your home with this, the delightful Espira Landing Duck Cottage Copper Weathervane. Like everything they make, this is expertly crafted with hand-made touches. The posture of the mallard duck is so realistic, giving it a dynamic feel. The NSEW letters are polished brass with a powder-coated black steel rotation rod. Both the copper and brass will gradually lose the bright shine to give you a lush patina. Eventually the copper will turn to verdigris, the classic green colour everyone loves. If you prefer, slow the process using several coats of clear spray varnish. You can use Hammerite paint to extend the life of the steel rotation rod. It comes with a special Eave Bracket for easy fitting, which projects 125mm (5”) with a 7.5cm square mounting plate. What a graceful addition to your home.
