The ash collector and adjustable slide vent are inside the neat pedestal itself, letting you freely adjust the air flow to the charcoal. The more oxygen reaches the charcoal via the pedestal, the faster and hotter the burn. This is called the draft effect, and it supports exceptional cooking. Simply open the air vent when you’re lighting the grill, place the food on it, then reduce the airflow back down to keeps the fire going for longer and give you consistent heat for excellent cooking.
